Hesitation upon Acceleration

HELP!!
I have a 1990 Jetta 1.8l, when first accelerating the car shutterers/hesitates. It does this in all gears when first pushing accelerator and immediately smoothens out. The problem is more noticable when the car is warmed up.



Any suggestions on troublshooting the problem.

Hello,

Well I have had this problem for some time. Check your grounds around engine and from battery. I replaced my ground fromt he battery as it had become very dirty. Problem went away.

all elecrtical points could be prob as suggested by last post.
i had corroded pins on my ecu caused by dampness with similar tho intermittent results. always there though, just bad contacts, pain in arse to find but got there in end,
