Question How to keep coded radio alive

Hi, I have a Scirocco with a working anti-theft Heidelberg radio, that I want to put into another car. I can't find the CODE, and of course if I disconnect it from power, it will lock up and be useless.
Is there any way to read the code? Can a dealer re-activate the radio as long as there have not been any bad codes entered?

TIA, Mike P

If you got a VW radio, try < radio-code.com > They say they can do it with the serial number off the radio and "ANY" VW vin number ( doesn't have to be the one the radio originally came in).
