Default loss of power...

Hi,

I have an 88 Golf GTI 16V KR that has developed a wierd behavour in the last months...

First it started by losing power above 5600/5800rpms when accelerating hard...

Then it started losing power even at 3000rpms when accelerating hard... because if I use just a bit of throttle like using only the small "throttle passage" on the throttle body (my bad english... ) it runs fine up till almost 6000rpms...
Then I realise that this happens when the car is, not only hot, but running for some time, like 15/20 min. Even with the engine hot but with only 5/10 min I can step on it...

I know this maybe a wierd problem but if some one can help me out here would be nice...

thanks in advance

Check fuel pressure, check injector spray pattern, check for vacuum leaks, check timing, make sure timing advances with RPM.
