Default need new K Frame what fits?

Hi there, I am new here and my poor golf needs a new K frame. The frame is pretty week where the control arm bolts to it. It could be welded but I would like to swap it. The dealer wants like $700.00 for a new one. I can get a lot of welding done for that much. I am going to go check out the local junk yards but I was wondering what would fit it. Would any MKII golf or Jetta fit? Or does it have to have the exact same engine? It is just a basic 91 golf with the 1.8 8v. Thanks,

Any k-frame(rear subframe) from any mk2 will work, doesn't matter year or model or motor.... they are all the same.... Good luck!
