Default Sloppy shifter

I've rebuilt the linkage on my 87 Cabriolet but the shifter is sloppy. Should I replace the bearing or replace the shifter with a Hurst? If the Hurst is preferred where can I find it?

I'm assuming that when you say you rebuilt the linkage that also includes the bushings? I'm not so sure about Hurst but there are plenty of ss out there from the likes of Nuespeed, Techtonics, ECS, ect., ect.

Default sloppy shifter.

thanks for the input. I'll replace the shift bearing and see how it goes. Yeah, I replaced all the bushings and linkage parts. I just overlooked the shifter bearing at the base of the shifter.
