Default soild to hyd head

i got a used motor from a junk yard. its a solid lifter motor but my old motor is a hyd lifter motor. can i put the hyd head on the soild lifter motor with out hurting anything. i also noticed the oil ports on the block are smaller then the other one and my hyd head has and extra oil drain port and the soild block doesn't have. HELP!!!!!!

You mean the oil drain between cylinder 1-2?

yes. i found out the motor is 1.7 from a pre 84 car. i think it is out of a rabbit or a scrocoo.

Yeah, if it doesn't have the oil drain between 1-2 then it's a 1.5/6/7 and you want nothing to do with it.
