I have a 86 gti and i am looking to replace my worn out struts with something to improve handling but not beat me to death, what would be a good choice.

kyb makes excelent struts for a good price. if you have the cash...bilstien is she shiznit

while your into it...remember to replace the strut tower bushings "bearing some call them" with the mk3 vr6 ones. a good upgrade.

also maybe look into springs? check your old ones and make sure the spring rate is still good
