Default swapping mk3 cluster

Can someone tell me how hard it is to swap the cluster from mk3 to mk2. Do you have to swap the dashes too. How hard is that? any cutting will bolts line up?

it will not bolt up but you do not have to swap dashes. there are many DIYs on whoretex. some have ways to fab up your own bracket. just search on vwvortex.com.

I searched and couldn't find anything. I thought awhile ago one of the forums had diy forum. Thats where i found stuff for my mk4. Does anyone have a mk3 Bentley they can scan the wiring for the dash and send to my email? Thanks guys
