Default timing help

i need to know where the cam dot marker goes to be lined un with the tdc.
also, where the mark on the crank is, and where to set it and where to align them

car is a an 87 cabrio
engine 1800 8v

and yes i know, get the bentley, problem is i've been having a lot of trouble finding one for my car, quess im gonna have to buy it off the internet.

thanks for all help
any guides would do

The dimple or groove on camshaft aligns with the upper surface of the cylinder head valve cover (towards front of car). The dimple of the intermediate shaft sprocket aligns with the v-notch on the crankshaft pulley. You can get a manual cheap on ebay or at 0-reilly's for about 15 bucks.
