VR6 Questions

I need some advice. I'm looking through a bunch of places and have come to recently thinking about a VR6 swap into my 92 Jetta. I have a 1.8L in it now but after I rode in my friends VR6, I feel like I have to have one. I was wondering if (1:it would be better to find someone to do the swap), (2: Do the swap myself), or (3:Find a car with a VR6 in it). I'm on a bit of a tight budget so cost is an issue. Thanks!

Yeah, its much less of a nightmare to buy a car that you have no idea what type/quality of work or parts went into.

Your looking at a nightmare if you do not know what your doing and getting someone to do it would cost some pennies. so if i were you i would sell the mk2 and get a mk3vr.

If you don't really know your stuff well and don't have a lot of tools at your disposal, then have someone else do it, but keep in mind that costs a pretty penny.

its easy....theres nothing nightmare about it. dont listin to that guy.

ppl will do it for dirt cheap anymore now too. you have a ce2 car so the wires plug right in. keep it 4 lug and save even more money. no way id buy one from someone else where you dont know how it was done or what was done to it.
