Default wheel play

Hey, My front right wheel has play in it left-right-up-down-all around. I noticed it's between the wheel hub and the steering knuckle. Here's where it get a lil strange, my wheel bearing's are tight. It feels as if the the whole cv joint and front hub move around. Now is there a carrier bearing in the knuckle that's shot or would it be something different. Hopefully someone know's because i dont have a heated garage and i dont really wanna rip up my front end in the freezing weather ya'll know how it is. (mabye) Thanks

Default wheel play

Probably the wheel/hub/carrier bearing... whatever you want to call it.

Usual places for slop:

In the strut... either by way of the shaft itself, or the insert inside the strut housing.

In the strut bearing at the top of the strut

In the tie rod... usually the inner ball joint.

If it isn't one of these, suspect the wheel bearing.
