UK 1993 Golf Mk3 Turbo Diesel. How do you reset the ABS light? The battery was completely discharged, so fitted new battery. Now the ABS light is on all the time when the ignition is on. Disconnecting the battery overnight didn't help. This early model has the ABS ECU under the back seat and there is no diagnostic connector in the centre console, or anywhere else as far as I know. It was all fine before the battery problem so I don't think there is a sensor or wiring fault. Obviously the ABS ECU has logged a low battery state and needs a reset. Is this only possible by a dealer?
