A/C Blowing Hot Air, Compressor is Engaging
My 95 Golf w/2.0 engine, is blowing hot air when the A/C is turned on. Last summer, it would freeze you to death, even in hot/humid Florida weather. The compressor is engaging, and staying engaged. According to one of those cheap freon pressure gauges, I have a little too much pressure on the low side (where you add freon). Draining freon didn't seem to lower the pressure any at all. The low side hoses are the same temperature as ambient. I'm thinking that there is a clog somewhere, but I'm not sure where, or how to start looking, or even if my assumptions are correct. I know just enough about air conditioning systems to be dangerous. Anybody got any ideas before I open the system?
