Default Car stalls in morning, if it doesn't warm up

I just bought a 97 jetta gt the other day and I realized that if the car doesn't warm up for atleast a half hour it will keep stalling, but after that it runs fine throughout the day, can anybody tell me what the problem could possibly, maybe a tuneup?

Sounds like you have two problems. Your first problem is the thermostat, its stuck open. Thats why it takes so long to warm up.

Your other problem could be anything really.
