Default central locking

hi everyone!
new to the forum, thought someone might know my problem so here goes.
my 94 Golf GT started acting funny.
my central lockig (doors, fuel cap etc) got crazy today when i use the remote- doors only lock, but dont open. i washed my car today and the motor(loceted behind the right taillight), powering the whole thing, got wet. so i figure thats the problem. but i was wondering is that very serious - will i need to change the motor???or can i fix it some how?

It's possible that it's just a fuse instead of the airpump. I'd give them a once over first and then pick one up from a salvage yard.
