disconnect the battery for like 15mins - 1/2 hour, but if you are throwing codes its going to pop right back on, so i wouldent worry about it till you get it fixed

if you have an intake equiped and its been wet or damp in your area then maybe you suck in some moisture.... while under full acceleration does the engine bobble a little and then take off? if it does then you got moisture...and the light should go off by itself after the water works through.

I would definately have someone read the code for you. Sometimes ECU's are "funny" from changing season, humidity changes and such. I know on my MKIV (which have really "funny" ECU's) with the week where the weather turned over cold really fast I had a ABS fault light popup for a couple of days and go out. The most important thing is to get the code read to see exactly what the problem is. Just my 2 cents.
