Weird!! I don't know if the two problems are related or not. any help would be greatly appricated

id say some of your wiring seems to be messed up, i really dont know why the dome light would stay on, except one thing and this is not ment to insult ur intelligence but is the switch pushed to the right? because that'll keep it on

There are two switches one just for a over head light for the passenger and one for the doors (when opened) that switch has three positions Off, On, Door. That light is the one that stays on? I wiggled the door switches thinking that one of them has a bad conection, Nothing? The over head light for the passenger works fine.

Are the things in the doors that tell the light to stay on jammed?

The dome light stays on for a while after you close the door. You should try standing there and waiting for it. If it does not go off after a minute or 2 then you have a problem with one of the door pins. Could be the pin itself, could be the wiring, who knows? The most common thing is for them to come loose over time and they loose their ground. The switches only have one wire and ground through the body (Stupid foriegn ground switches). Make sure it is making good contact by testing for continuity.

Thanks, I'll check. I didn't know that there was a delay.
