I don't know about the CEL but that squeek isn't just a belt slipping, is it?

the squeal is probably a belt aqueal. as for the cel, do you notice anytihng when it comes on? sputtering, stalling, even jsut a little hesitation?

Could be a strong possibility. Something to check is the wire connector at the base of the distributor housing. If it is corroded (like mine), it might not be making a good connection, hence, the spotty cel. I took some sandpaper, a small flat head screwdriver, and as best as I could, sanded down the contacts.

Also, the serpentine belt is most likely the cause of the squeaking (just replaced mine when turning on A/C caused squeaking). however, also check belt tension on the P/S, water pump belt as well.
