Question 04 Golf front camber caster adjustment

My front passenger wheel camber caster are off negative camber 2.2 caster 6.5. My tires last about 1/4 - 1/3 the expected life. Sears and an independent tire dealer charged me for a $15 report but said they could not complete an alignment that left my car up to specs. What is the cost effective way to deal with this?

Did you ask "why" they could not align your vehicle? are you lowered? aftermarket suspension parts? I know Sears will normally not mess wiht non-stick parts.

I would say yes, something is bent or possiblly damaged under there.

I asked... they did not offer up any repairs. Sears sells struts, if it was a bent strut I'd guess they would have pitched theirs. A kit to adjust camber caster might help "aleviate" the problem, but if it's fixed by changing the struts that's a better/cheaper answer. Hoping for a free estimate from a VW dealer. All this happend on a Sat. We'll see Monday or Tues.
