just wondering, im quite the noob haha, just bought a silver 2001 1.8t.... looking to switch it up a bit, get some more horse, just make it look better than it does... ideas?

What line does a boost gauge get its reading from.

a boost gauge usually gets its read from a vacuum line.

try unplugging a vacuum hose from something (prefer a dv) and put a t-fitting on it and run vacuum hose to the gauge.

The secondary air pump that is located under the front of the engine is to inject clean air upstream of the cat right?

why did you say to not install a BOV into a chipped 1.8t ??? Mine works very good sine 2 years...
