Ok, some weird things going on with my 2006 mk4 2.o Muanual in regards to startups and idles
This has been going on for a few months now, and is starting to become worse.
These symptoms sometimes happen randomly, but for the most part here is the sequence of events:
Cold start (first of the day) Starts up fine.
Take a short trip and turn it off. Start it up and she sometimes hesitates or starts quite rough, then idles at about 1100 or higher. I have to wait for her to "warm up" a bit until she hits normal idle of about 800, then I can be on my way. If I dont wait sometimes when hit the gas (even just a slight tap) the revs will actually go DOWN. Ive learned to wait for her to warm up since she will stall if you don't usually and when you go to start her up you have to step on the gas to get it to start after sevaral tries.
Another side effect of this is sometimes waiting to "warm up" for the high rev start ups the revs will not normalize to 800 and when you hit the gas the engine will take quite a while (as in 10+ seconds to go from 2500 rpm back down to ~1000) to rev back down to "normal".
SOOO, yeah. Some really funky things going on and have no idea where to start. I have replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump previously and wondering if maybe the fuel pump is the culprate again.
Thanks in advance!
