Manufacturer recomends and 5w- 40 with an api cert of SL or SJ. You don't have to put full synthetic in. If it has more than 150k miles i would use a 10w 30 or 40. Full synthetic's hold tegether better under high heat and pressures. But the 2.0 engine will not be under that high of stresses. For non syn oils i recomend 3k or 3 months. You CAN put synthetic in (it wont hurt its just more money) but i wouldn't change back and forth. If you do use synthetic i recomend no more than 5k miles. Semi synthetics, also know as blended oils, are fine also. The difference is that a full synthetic is a true syn. Semi or blended are manufactured synthetics and primarily do the same. Either way you don't have to use a syn if you don't want to.
