2001 golf tdi

hey all,
i am currently looking at a 2001 vw golf tdi with 118k.
can someone refer me to or tell me what to look for in these tdi.
i am new to tdi

Most VW's need timing belt and water pump replaced around 80-100k miles. Check to see if there are records for the work
