Default 2002 Jetta 1.8T oil pressure light problem.

my 1.8T jetta recently got a oil pressure light on, and I bring it to firestone to do the diagnose, and the mechanic did the pressure test and said it's good, so he simply changed the pressure switch for me, but after I got it back the car, the light pops up again. I only run less than 1000 km since last oil change, could you give me a help to deal with this problem? btw is it safe to drive the car right now?

It's hard to say without an oil pressure gauge. If the light is on it could be a bad sender. Are you leaking oil at all"? If you are leaking oil then no don't for the love of all that is holy drive your car. If you aren't leaking any oil at all it's an electrical problem since there obviously won't be an oil leak causing you to lose pressure.

I think the mechanic at the firestone did the oil pressure test with the gauge, cuz he said he put departed the oil light and put the gauge on and drive the car for like half an hour and see the pressure is good, btw how to check if I am leaking or not? cuz I keep on checking the oil level with the stick, and seems it always above the line, and is it possible because of the oil pump? thank you for your help
