Default aftermarket radio

I'm interested in buying an aftermarket radio for my '04 GTI. I have the monsoon system and would like to know if there is anything in particular that needs to be done before installation or if I can retain the monsoon amp and have the aftermarket radio connected to the same. Any suggestions or info will be appreciated.

youll need an adapter for the am/fm there like 12 bucks a best buy, and a harness for a VW/ AUDI around $15, also make sure you wire it right because vw runs tests that require a correctly installed CD Player to work......good luck (i think im going to need a new one too mine decided it wanted to go all Micahel Jordan on me when i got rear ended and jumped into the back seat)

For an '04 you should be k-wire safe. Get a proper harness, it will make your life easier. You'll also wind up finding switched power and illumination yourself.

www.enfigmotorsport.com is where I got my dash pocket and harness.
