Air Recirculation Button (Switch) always ON

During the summer this was not an issue, however as the cooler temperatures approach this will be an issue.

The Air Recirculation Switch will not turn off, I can push it in all day long and it will not turn off (come all the way out). Can I pull the switch out with pliers and just replace the switch? Any help would be greatly appreciated.



Passanger Heated Seat: About two yrs after having the heated seats replace, the passanger heated seat not longer works. I've checked the fuses however I was wondering if there are any other areas I should check before purchasing a new seat. Thanks

For the Recirc button:

I would buy a new control unit unless you can solder.

For the seat:
There is a hair thin wire in the lower rear section of the seat that burns up/breaks. pull the cover and take a look at it first.

How do we remove the panels to get to the unit, any assistance would be appreciated.

These units have a feature that once the vents are turned to full defrost, the recirc is not an option and the button releases. it could be as simple as a piece of plastic from that manual functional wheel has broken off and jammed in behind the button as well, like i said, buy a new one, Ebay has them for <$20 at times or search that VWvortex site for someone parting their car out as it is not exactly a sought after piece yet.

same problem with the recirc on mine, just turn the knob on the right to defrost and itll release it recirc button, that button is never touched down here lol. it stays pushed in
