Default car stalls need help

ok heres the deal. laugh if you want but i need your help

While i'm driving, the car stalls. i can't tell you for sure if it's because i'm talking my foot of the clutch when i'm not supposed to or what. i know how to drive manual trans but the car is new to me so i'm still learning this one. but i've been driving the car for a week, can i still be getting used to this clutch...i think not.

which leads me to belive it's not my driving. i don't know if i'm being sorta self conscience, but i've heard about the problems with the clutch going out on a chipped 1.8t

i did notice that if i am coming to a stop and i don't downshift and go right to neutral the rpms drop like it's about to stall. you think this could have anything to do with it? THANKS

You need to scan it with a Vag-Com. This will give you a definate answer to your problem. I think it is a MAF issue.

That could have something to do with it, BOV's are not made to run on our engines.

It IS a BOV and not a DV it has, right? Like klipse said, our cars are made for DVs. Also, my GTI used to do that too and it was the O2 sensor.

From my experience with BOV's on 1.8Ts, you never know what's going to happen. My friend had one and he had all sorts of problems...his car would shut off randomly while he was driving...they're just a bad idea, look into getting an upgraded DV.

If it's your driving skills you must be the worst stick driver out there to still have problems after 1 week .

Yea my friend took it to the dealer and they told him it was the BOV. Took it off and it was fine ever since.
