Ok so i have a 2002 2.0 with the rebuilt head off and now im thinking what are some ways i can clean my pistons and rings with my head already off and without pulling the crank out. Can i just squirt something in the cylinders and spin the crank to clean it up??? Anything helps thanks.

Razor blade and a shop vac. Don't let the carbon deposits get caught In the top ring groove.

you could pop the pan off, unbolt the pistons and pull them up from the top. just be sure to number the m and the rod caps so they go back in where they came from.

Can i just spray some chemtool parts cleaner in their and spin the crank or is that just not enough? Also the car only has 72k miles and the reason im doing this is because when i disasembled the head the car didnt have any compression, so im thinking worn pistons are rare at 70k miles, so maybe they are just dirty.... Also my valves were a little burnt and failed the water test, which is why i rebuilt the head...

spinning the crank is going to leave score marks on the cylinder walls from any debris.

I agree with Fubar. pull the pan, replace the rings since your this far and had compression issues. Snap one of the rings into two pieces, grind one end Into a chiesel point and use that to clean the groves of the pistons. Also replace your bearings while your there. Make sur to torque everything to specs.
