Default coolant Message

Goo day
I have a Golf 4 2004, and the problem I have is that the coolant warning light flashes and the stop sign appears as soon as i switch the ignition key on

checked the water bootle...water level is correct...checked radiator pipes both top and bottom are hot when car car is idle for some time...but the fans do not kick in only at 130 degrees do they come on can some please help...replace stat as well

Try the cheap things first, coolant temperature sensor and thermostat. Try turning your AC on full blast. Do the fans kick on immediately?

tanx for the reply ...replaced the thermostat, not the temp switch...done that fans kick on immediately
