Its been a long time coming, but Iv finally started my build. I haven't ever worked on cars before at all. Most I have ever done is change my own oil. So its going to be an experience doing all this work. So here it is, my build.

Things I'm putting on the jetta.

TSW Nurburgring wheels

Drilled and slotted rotors

Koni coilovers

Frankenturbo F4h
42DD 3" turbo back exhaust

Forge 007 Diverter Valve
Forge FMIC

Updated center console

Short ram Intake

New bumper
New hood
Head lights

Tail lights
Badgeless front grill

This is how it looked when I got it

I spent the weekend putting on my coilovers which was an experience to say the least, and this is what it looks like right now.

Here's a little coil over pron for you guys

*update*
So iv managed to take care of all the issues iv been having so I am actually ready for my build now.
I cleaned my maf which helped a bit with the cold start then replaced the coolant sensor which helped out with the cold start, but didn't fix it. Then I replaced the front 02 sensor which was bad, and that went ahead and fixed the cold start.

Old vs New. I replaced the dry rotted pvc breather hose, and now I officially don't have any CELs so Im hoping in a week maybe two I should be starting for real this time. Also I went ahead and popped on my new rotors which look fantastic sitting on my car if I do say so myself haha. Ill have to take a picture of them.
*Update 2*
Got my FMIC on today. It went very well I was really happy with the way forge did their inter cooler. I didn't have to re route all the stuff that I would have had to do with the euro jet fmic. Although from what it looks like the euro jet one is bigger I think the forge is fine for the turbo.

*Update 3*
Finally got into the good stuff. I got my exhaust on today, and it fit great, super easy. The turbo should be in Tuesday now, and Ill be pretty much done for the moment. Here is that wonderful 42dd exhaust.

I got a pretty good deal on them actually. I actually ordered B&G Rs2's, but they were out of stock from the website I ordered from, and they gave me the run around for about 2 weeks. So they ended up cutting me a nice deal on the konis, and you can't pass that up haha.

yeah nice wheels man. curious to watch the frankenturbo build too. ive been debating going bigger turbo for a while now, well at least a k04. those konis are lookin nice, cant wait to get a set for myself.

Thanks man, I thought about those wheels for about 2 months before I finally took the plunge. Ill be honest with you bora, I definitely took that picture from my cars good side haha. Im excited about the frankenturbo as well. Ive read negative stuff about them, but pretty much all the negative stuff I read was at least a year old if not older. Only thing I have heard that I haven't really taken with a grain of salt is they have bad boost spikes sometimes, and that came from a unitronics rep I was talking to.

Here's a little update to everyone out there. I've hit two road blocks in my build. My help for the build has become unavailable, and I don't feel comfortable doing the build solo. Also when I put my coilovers on I checked out my cel, and I'm rocking 6 codes, which at least to me are pointing to a cracked gasket some where. Maintenance before performance!

On the coilovers? Im an inch from the bottom thread so im sitting at about 1.8 inches lower probably a little less actually.

Another update for you guys. Got my cold start figured out, but Ive still got a few other codes I need to figure out. Turns out the cold start was the coolant sensor was bad making the car think that the coolant was at 190 degrees all the time. Thats the good news, the bad news is I found a bunch of hoses that are starting to dry rot pretty bad. The worst one is my pvc breather hose which is completely rotted off. Not good haha.

Problems all fixed. Hopefully in a week or so Ill be putting the turbo fmic and exhaust on.
Got to use my friends lift...I had to jack it up to get the lift under the car haha.

The 02 sensor tool that I need which turned out to be more trouble than an open ended wrench.
