I always just used a box wrench on mine to break them free and then hand loosen them.

plus if you are replacing them for sure. just cut the wires. make sure the battery is disconnected before though.

As promised here it is my new front mounted inter cooler. Install went really well. It was for sure an easier install than a euro jet because it doesn't change the route of the hot side at all.

Got my exhaust on today, and got it tuned yesterday. All I have left to do is the turbo which should be on in the next couple days. Heres a picture or two of 42Draft designs awesome exhaust, worth every penny.
Whole 3 inches of breathing room

Dual wall tips were definitely worth it.

Iv got 2 lifts back home I can use, and I did the exhaust on Ft Campbell at the DIY shop. Cost about 30 bucks for 4 hours on the lift . Sadly none of them are actually mine. Ill get a clip up tomorrow of how it sounds now.

Reminds me, i have never posted a sound clip of my exhaust yet. I have the same 3" 42DD, that I v-banded. Sounds amazing, a little loud at times though.

So I went on leave at midnight today, and for some reason I decided to just drive the 10 hours home right then and there instead of sleeping. Well about 4 hours into my trip I got attacked by a rouge tire. It snapped my parking break, tore out my inner fender well plastic thing, my old front valance (which I was going to take off today anyway,) and ripped my plastic skid plate out and half of the passenger side engine cover that hides the belts. I haven't gotten it on a lift to see if anything else is wrong, but tomorrow I will.

Well here is the look good stuff I got done when I made it back.

Went ahead and put my shiny new used gli front valance on that I bought last week thanks to the help of this forum, put a new grill on, and changed out the old clear and amber side markers for smoked ones to match the headlights and tail lights (when ever I got those on )

And here it is, a short little video of me beings a dick in the drive way for you guys.
