Question front mount

i am getting a front mount for my car but i need just the intercooler
i am getting the piping from somewhere else that will b cheaper and i can weld an put it on myself
so i need just the intercooler
i need to know where can i get the best intercooler for a good price
i thought about getting a universal one from megan racing or someplace like that
what do yall think about getting a universal one? and where should i look for some at?

DOn't be cheap on this, if you are going to be cheap then just get a larger sidemount.

an i was really wanting to know how good a universal front mount would be as compared to one actually made specifically for my car

eurosport makes a nice one that is a decent price. the pipes are not all over the engine bay.

I hate to say it but cxracing has some of thee best cores my buddy had a greddy for his dsm and it got damaged so he bought one from cxracing and there was a big difference in quality
he wasn't the only one either.

Yea, cxracing is a pretty solid company and if it can handle a 400hp holset dsm it can handle a vw. He has had the thing for like 3 years.

I also read on dsmforums that this guy bought a big evo3 16g turbo off there and it lasted 12k so far without shaftplay at high boost.

thanks thats exactly wat im looking for
do u know how many mandrel bends are in the piping? like 90 degree bends there are? an are there any other degree bends?
i can get the bends done cheap from a friend who does them an im just going 2 weld everything together from there bc its cheaper than buying a piping kit or a full intercooler kit

Personally when I do a FMIC it's going to be a top/bottom design with endtanks on the top and bottom. Most efficient design for the 1.8T that doesn't require hacking apart the front bumper and it's the FMIC that has the least pressure loss because the way the piping is routed.

so u mean the piping is going in and out on the same side
like the apr style?
nevermind the ? i asked above i figured it out ha
although i must admit i like it the other way with pipes on the bottom end going out both sides

i bought a forge hated it returned it, tried an APR was insatisfied as well so i bought a eurojet and im in LOVE with it. best buy next to my miltech exhaust
