High RPM

Hello,

My car was suffering from a bad coil pack, in the morning it would misfire when it was humid. I change the spark plug, cable and coil pack. The misfire have gone away, but I notice that while driving at around 80 mph or greater am getting in 4k rpm. Is this normal or is my car running a little bit more stressed?

Car info: Jetta 2004 2.0L

Sounds normal to me for a 2.0, as long as its a manual. That's what my New Beetle always ran at.

thats right... 2.0 has such low hp needs to be kept at high rpm to move haha. but yes normally going 70mph my 2.0 will be around 3300

My 2001 2.0 manual was the same.

At 80 mph, and 1/2 tank of gas, all the needles pointed straight up......

4000 rpm, 80 mph, 190 coolant temp, 1/2 tank of fuel.

I cruise at 60km/h in 3rd at 3k rpm

yes that is okay around 75mph u shld b at around 3200rpm

my 2.0 loves the higher RPM range so i keep her happy
