How to disable alarm forever

I have a 2000 Jetta gls

does anyone know the steps on alarm removal?

The alarm goes off when I unlock the car and start it.

I just want to take the alarm out all together.

Any suggestions?

got a 1999.5 Mark IV, just pulled the alarm out of my car. I took out the three bolts (2 phillips and a torx) on the bottom of the knee panel. Take out the 3 Torx Bolts on the fuse panel on the side (you need to ope the driver door to do this,) Push the fuse block aside and reach in. If you find a 4.5 inch square that is 1 inch thick, and says Astroflex, you just found the alarm. Disconnect the electrics and take the box out of the car. There are a 10 amp and a 30 amp fuse in the alarm.

Why not just take the fuses out so you still have it in there when you want it back?

The factory alarm has a starter kill, figured pulling it would make one less issue for my car to start. the car wasn't locked and the alarm set itself.

The stater kill will show up on your HUD as a car with a key at the bottom of it. If that light is on it's unlikely that is the cause of the car not starting.
