Default How to install audio connector for ipod

Anyone know if its possible to install an auxiliary jack to the stereo system so i can plug in my ipod or anything else that has a 3.5mm jack? Since i dont use the casette player, i was thinking i could somehow hijack that connector? any ideas?

the only way I know would be to buy a cheap new head unit that has an aux input built in instead of messing around with anymore wiring than you have too. If you're worried about sound quality though, you would have to put a few more bucks into a better head.

You don't mention what year and model you have, but Volkswagen has an iPod adapter that will allow you to use your factory stereo to control your iPod. It's a little more expensive than some of the other solutions, but excellent sound quality and factory compatibility. Retails for $181.21 at the dealer, our price is $148.41 plus shipping.
