How Many Miles on a VR6

So.. I have a MK4 Jetta VR6 with 180k Miles on it.. Still running great..

I bought it from a friend with 150k on it. I bought this car for a temparary car but I loving it so much.

My Question is .. How many miles more do you guys think I can go on it?

How many Miles are on your VR6? Or Whats the highest you've seen?

As long as you take car of the car it will last. I've seen a vr6 with over 200k on it. Ran fine.

That motor is a tank, take good care of her and be religious with the oil changes and do the timing chain every 100k and she should last forever. I seen one with over 300k on it, the car was a piece of shit, but it still ran strong.

well i have a gti vr6 and have a little over 200k miles and the still pulls strong and runs realy good with no problems justdo the right maintenance and youll be ok.

Got 175k on mine. I've seen ones in the mid 250s easy.

They are one of the most reliable engine that VW ever made.

Because of the narrow single head and high run temps it is critical keep your fans, coolant pump, and after run system working. Most importantly make sure your oil and cooling system is tiptop and the Vr6 will be good to you.

Watch in amazement as the electronics, interior, body, and mechanical parts completely desintegrate around a Vr6 engine that is still kickin.
