Default Maf?

Wow its been a while since I've been on here!

Quick question. Recently when my car sits at idle, once and a while it will make a rumble and the rpms will drop for a short second. The first thing that came to my mind was maybe it was a bad coil pack or it needed new spark plugs since it was doing this fairly often. So I just replaced all four and it's still having the issue. I ran for codes on my car and nothing came up. Does this sound like I need to clean the MAF or could it be something else?? Thanks in advance

Btw, I have an '02 Jetta 1.8T

Check upper and lower PCV hoses for tears, that's most likely the source of your problem as mine is having the same issues.

mine has done it since i have purchased it. i have no vacuum leaks. does it do it on cold start or even when its warm? mine will do it when ever it wants. some days it will some days it wont. i would not worry about it. unless the car really sputters. might want to replace your fuel filter if you have not done it.

All very good ideas. Ill have to go check them out in the morning.
When checking for leaks in the hoses, is there an easy way of finding them besides sticking my hand down there feeling for air?

Eh it does it really whenever, no matter the condition. Also theres a slightly noticeable performance decrease so maybe the hoses would be a good place to start. Thanks guys.
