Question maintenance at 201K ?

hi ya'll, I recently got an 02 Jetta wagon vr6, 201k, for $2000

there's definately some work to do but overall it runs solid, there's no rust and for NY thats a miracle
any general advice for starting maintenance on a car at 201K?

I've changed the oil, rotated the tires, before an alignment the mechanic spotted torn CA bushings (and fortunately told me, instead of doing the alignment anyway) so the control arms are coming out this weekend for new bushings, maybe ball joints too while it's all apart. The mechanic also said I need a passenger inner tierod and a driver's side outer, but I haven't looked at either. The last owner said he rode a while with a broken wheel bearing up front...

Also I noticed on ECS that some parts are way cheaper than the others listed, like a bushing for $1.58 next to one for $23.95. Is there a large difference in quality ? I've never bought auto parts online and I can't trust that price without some reassurance I found complete tierods for $13 when an end costs $20... is it worth it to get completes? Same with the control arms too. Are the pre-loaded bushings any good?

Thanks for any help !
