Default Mil Light

After repair to broken wire under battery tray for starter solenoid I reconnected the battery, having to remove it for repair. The mil light is on and the transmission is in ERM. Any suggestions on what to do?

find someone nearby with a vag-com or take it to the dealer and have the car scanned.
