Default MIL LIGHT HELP!

ok so i was driving and my friend was like skid around the turn so i rev'ed it and burned around the turn a little and then i was like ok so i skidded around another one just for fun and then suddenly i notice my MIL light was on and my car started shuddering? you guys know what it could be? im pissed as hell right now anyone have any ideas?

well stupid move or not, you need to get it scanned and we can help.

update:: so apparently has something to do with my emissions? either my o2 sensor or my caty converter or something? can anyone shed some more light?

By mil light I assume you mean check engine light? Get the car scanned, there are literally hundreds of things it could be on for...

You were probably bouncing the car off the rev limiter while trying to prove how badass you are. If so you probably set a P0219 "Engine Overspeed Condition" fault, which tells whoever is checking the codes that you were being dumb, don't know how to drive, and beating the piss out of the car. If a VW dealer sees the fault you will be charged standard diagnosis fee (usually an hour) and depending on the dealer they might void your warranty because it shows them that you abuse the car.

But at the same time, it could just be a coincidence and something might have happened to something on the car.

And anyway, you were beating the shit out of the car and now you are pissed because something is wrong with the car. Ok cool guy.
