My friends that have a welder are a city or two away, not worth the gas to take it over nor have the time.

Yeah, it was a hand laid Carbon fiber cap a buddy made, it broke after years.

If i could afford the R8 cap and other mathing caps i would, doubt that is happening though. not spending that much on caps.

They really should make them cheaper. It's only like 10 bucks worth of resource and time to make one.

Like anything, the logo/name on the product dictates the cost.

I will see about fixing it or go back to the stock one for now, i have a considerable amount to spend on this car just to get what i have purchased already onto the car by spring. Need to stay focused...

Easy out method failed. Popped the heads clean off.

Looks like a little more work is needed to get these wheels ready for media blasting and refurb time.

If i could get the face to pop out there should be enough of a stud to grab and yank them out. just have to figure out how to get the face to pop off. Maybe need to drill them out a little more.

They are the Stock BBS RXII Wolfsburg wheels 16X6.5" 2 piece. Refurbing to run as my winters and sell my recently refurbihsed beetle steelies or sell outright and buy adapters and tires for my X5 wheels.

Wheel has been outsourced. Dropped it at the machine shop over lunch today. I am tired of messing with it and want to move forward.
