Default rims for my vr6 jetta

i have a 2001 jetta glx that i bought over a year and a half ago and i usualy buy gti's mostly, i was wondering what rims would look best on a silver (stock silver) jetta with a vortex body kit. unfortunately i do have any photos atm. i was looking at the MSR 169 size 17" rims but im still undecided.

OEM wheels look great imo Of course I have a liking for some more expensive ones as well. It really depends on your budget.

Becuase they look like the wheels off the MKIII jetta in the first Fast and Furious movie, not my style and very "tuner" looking IMO.

well i never thought about the fast and the furious before... they do look alike good point. and yea im on somewhat of a budget. i was paralyzed last year right after i bought my beloved jetta so finances have been tight. i need to factor in the cost of getting the guido simplex hand control sysem so i can keep the manual tanny, plus the body mods, paint, and tire to go with said rims. so getting $500 a pop rims would be a bit much... another question i should add is what color?

I'd wait till you really know what you want. Browsing around on forums helps a lot. Put your life before your car Proper planning is always a good thing.

dont let us build your car.
all depends on the direction you want to go with the car. do you want it to function and drive well or do you just want looks. its too early and im running on 3 hours of sleep.
examples.
clean low look.

im cheap and have no style look.

my health has gotten to the point where i will be driving again soon so ive changed my sight to my car for now. im not letting anyone make her beautiful but me but it doesnt hurt to have other like minded peoples opinions. im an ornamental blacksmith and welder by trade (an artist) and on thing ive learned is that you may have a picture of what you want in your head but having another perspective never hurts i really do appreciate what has been given here and hopefully she will be complete in due time and i will post many pictures in the future!
