Question roof rack ???

how do the clips for the roof racks attach to the roof? anyone got pictures or something?

Just pull back the weather stripping at the top of the door a bit and you'll see it. It's very clear once it's pulled back.

It's what Psst and I said, peel back the weather stripping and you'll see the two metal posts that are the same color as the car.

And you can make your own, you'd need to make an adjustable arm to latch onto the screw/post. If you look at the posts on the car, you'd get a better understanding of it. VW uses an allan key to adjust the clamps to tighten the roof rack down.

alright thanks guys, i also wonder if there is anywhere that i could just buy the clips and not the rails for it...i reallly dont need/want the rails and i only need a pair of clips

Try Thule directly but no, you can't from Vw for OEM as I tried to replace mine before through them.
