Call your dealer with the VIN, they can look the code up for you if you need it. If not it should be written in your owners manual.

Maybe I got lucky but:
I removed the battery on my '02 GLS w/ anti-theft and Monsoon and did not need to enter the code. Battery was out maybe 10 minutes or less? You may need to pass a time threshold for the radio to lock out. So work fast.

Back when I had my monsoon radio I disconnected my battery all the time and the radio did fine. If it's for a short amount of time I wouldn't worry about it.

I never once had the radio reset when I disconnected the battery on my 03 mk4-but I never had it undone for more than a day. I had the premium stereo package -I believe it was called monsoon too.
