Question super rough idle on start up when cold

Ok if the car sits overnight, when I come out and start it up. it runs like it is on 2 cyclinders. If you rev it up or shut it off and start it again, it seems to cure this problem. Any ideas? I've only had the car for a month and new to a turbo charged vechicle and VW's. After we bought the car, we have had nothing but problems with it. Right now it has CEL P2181. I had the ECT sensor changed and the light stayed off for 2 days. Now it is back on with the same code. I'm going to change the thermostat and coolant and see if that solves the CEL. Is the rough idle connected to the CEL? I didn't think so myself but like I say Iam a noob with these cars. Thanks in advance for the help!!!

i had some of the same issues, a thing u gotta remember or learn about turbo, is that the engine is gonna be running smoother when the turbo kicks in and spools the exhaust back into the intake, so on a cold start its shooting cold air back into the engine, simple fix, use a block heater.
