Default Suspension CLICK??

ok so i installed a H&R cupkit on my jetta and now every now and then when i am rolling it sounds like there is a continual clicking or popping noise that speeds up or slows down when i do. i took it to someone and he said that when you lower it that that was a normal noise to hear because of extra tension on the strut. im not so sure that a car should ever make popping noising. any idea's as to whats wrong?
