do you have a sunroof? The drains can become clogged and back up in behind the trim, or it could be a heater core if it looks smells like coolant.

I do have a sunroof...I'll check.

I did notice the drain tube thingy (lack of better term) inside the passanger door near the door hinge was clogged. I squeezed it and a buch of water came spilling out. I then checked the driver's side for the same issue and it was clear. So the water may have been backing up from that train tube and spilling over into the cabin.

I'll give it a thorough shake down to see if that was it.

Thanks for the help!

I usually cut that little slit of the drain tube near the hinges so the water can flow freely and wont get clogged.

I used an air compressor to blow out any debris from the sunroof drain. I'm not sure how the water leaks out of that tube and into the car, but I'm hoping that it stops leaking now that I cleared it.

I plan on triming the flat part of the drain tube to prevent it from cloggin again.

Thanks for the advice

That happened to my GTI once, I went to get in and had water up to my ankles, I shopvaced it out and it hasn't happened since. I think it was just something in the drains.
