Default Wheel badge question?

Okay so I bought an 04 Jetta with less than 40,000 miles less than a week ago and ive already lost one of the VW badge logos(whatever you want to call it) that is in the center of the wheel.

Does anyone know the actual name of this part and where i can get some new ones?

Be prepared to lose them at varying points in time particularly if you take your car through car washes.

Cost at dealer to replace should be about $22 to $26.

Preventative action: Purchase some strong waterproof glue and when you notice a cap becomming loose squeeze a little glue around and under the cap edges. Helps.

I would be wary of anythng on Ebay. Quite often item is misrepresented and shipping costs can hurt. Dealer OEM items like caps you can hold in your hand and know what you are getting.

They should be all the same size regardless of rim diameter; but if you want to be absolutely sure just take off the cap with the missing emblem and take it in with you to the parts counter.

Go to one of your other wheels than is not missing "anything". Remove the center cap by gently prying off the cap with a standard screwdriver.

Take it in to your dealer parts counter and tell them you want one just kike this. Works.
