Default wheel size

Anyone know what the wheel size/ offset is for an 03 GTI? I'd like to look around for a new set of rims for my car.

Thanks all!!!

OEM offset is 38mm, but as mentioned, that can vary with regards to what wheel type you go with.

OEM is 38? I thought it was 35mm. My offset is even more off that I thought, I am running 32mm. That's not bad, is it?

Sorry, I guess that was kind of general...Long Beaches, Monte's, and Avus are 38mm offset...I was just trying to think of what came on GTI's.

GTIs had the same wheels basically. I can't see VW producing different offsets for basically the same car. So probably all MKIV wheels are 38mm then. I am running TT wheels, thats why I am at 32mm

I haven't brought the car home yet- that's why I'm askin...

I'm shopping for stuff and I don't even own the car yet!

I know it's got the base, flat 5 star rims, and I'd like to go up to at least a 16" ( I think the stock ones might be 15")
