No, it'd still be the best way to go. Heat shield is still just going to prolong failure. New ECU, and get it reflashed, or just wait for boost.

k installed the new engine temp sensor and it shows the right TEMP! can you believe that! haha so now we find out if this fixes my EPC issue... lets hope!

update after fixing the engine temp sensor the EPC light issue has gone away so happy, and just got the new ECM so car should be up and going with no issues by next week... been daily driving her all month and havent had an issue. good to have her back

True, but boosting isnt cheap.. but im sure you already know that. did you put some cams or giac chip in it to help with some more stock horse power?

Get some autotech 262s on their black friday sale!!!

makes a HUUGE difference. Car gets a 2nd wind from 4k and up. then add a chip (I had unitronic) and its really a fun car to drive.

i would but, selling the car this week hopefully. the dealership messed up the car so epc and traction control light are on, idk why... im thinking the gauge cluster. they wouldnt even clear the airbag fault cod that was popping up when cluster was removed.

Dang that blows id go back and have them fix it again. If they took apart the gauge cluster and got you all those codes, they should fix it for free

yeah, but they told me they wouldnt touch it again... i can ask if they can clear the codes because thats fucked up... now it look super sketch to potential buyers

contact vw of america and talk to them about the dealership. might get you somewhere might not. worth a phone call. or park the car in front of their show room with a sign saying they f'ed your car and wont take responsibility.
